Join our team. THRIVE together.
Dream it. Together.
Unlicensed and licensed clinicians, are you ready to start your own private practice, but not sure how to begin? Are you looking for support and mentorship while you grow your practice? Are you wanting to focus on seeing clients and not having to deal with annoying administrative tasks, marketing your business, and navigating the ins and outs of taking insurance? At THRIVE we handle all the hard stuff so you can concentrate on your passion and bringing your gifts to your clients.
Learn it. Together. Thrive Internship Program
Thrive Boulder is proud to be a Medicaid provider. All interns are expected to work with Medicaid clients and maintain timely and professional documentation—including intake interviews, diagnoses, treatment plans, mental status exams, session notes, and termination summaries—using our cloud-based system, Simple Practice.
We are deeply committed to equity and inclusion. Thrive does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, age, or religion.
Serving our Spanish-speaking community has always been a priority. Spanish-speaking applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early, and we’re always looking to expand this part of our care.
Our team supports clients across the lifespan—children, teens, adults, and couples—through a variety of therapeutic modalities. We give our therapists space to bring their own clinical interests, while also cultivating a shared foundation.
Please note: Thrive does not provide art therapy supervision. If you’re looking for a placement specific to art therapy, our program may not be the right fit.
About the Internship
Our internship program is open to graduate students enrolled in Master’s or PhD programs in clinical psychology, counseling, or related fields. Interns gain direct clinical experience in a supportive community mental health setting. Training includes:
• Intake assessments and diagnostic interviews
• Individual, couples, and/or child therapy
• Co-facilitating psychoeducational groups
• Participation in in-service trainings and case consultation
• Clinical supervision with licensed staff
• Presentation of clinical work in peer consultation groups
Requirements
• Enrollment in a relevant Master’s or PhD program
• Program approval for internship placement
• A 12-month commitment at 15 hours/week
Build it. Together.
At THRIVE we treat the whole person, offering our clinicians access to training in cutting edge treatments like Ketamine Assisted Therapy (KAP) and supplement support for your clients with our wellness clinic approach. Our diverse team at THRIVE could become your new network and community! We offer a monthly peer consult group and community building opportunities like potlucks and deep dives.
