Grounded Guide, Nature-Connected Therapist, Companion in Growth

Laine Smith (she/her) is a Licensed Social Worker who offers therapy for adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. With a background in outdoor education, breathwork, and somatic healing, Laine brings a grounded, calm presence to the therapy space—supporting clients in finding clarity and connection in a fast-paced world.

Laine’s approach is client-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed, with a strong somatic lens. She integrates parts work, Jungian psychotherapy, psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused brief therapy, tailoring her work to meet each client where they are. She is a certified Breathwork facilitator and is currently completing her certification in Somatic Coaching.

Clients often experience Laine’s presence as steady, direct, and relational—balancing warmth and support with thoughtful challenges that promote growth. She believes healing unfolds when we feel safe, empowered, and invited to explore what’s underneath the surface with curiosity and self-compassion.

Laine holds a Master’s in Social Work from MSU Denver and has worked with individuals in both traditional and wilderness settings. Her lived experience includes six years abroad in Norway, where she developed a personal understanding of immigration-related stress, identity shifts, and cross-cultural transitions. While Laine honors spirituality as part of her own life, she welcomes clients of all faiths and belief systems.

Laine offers therapy in-person in Boulder and online throughout Colorado.
