Yun Chung
MA, LPCC
Therapist for identity exploration, embodied healing, and unapologetic truth
Yun Chung (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate based in Boulder, CO, offering affirming, inclusive therapy for individuals of all ages and backgrounds. She specializes in identity exploration, gender and LGBTQ+ therapy, eating disorders, body image, chronic disability, cultural trauma, and questions around personality structure and sense of self.
Her work is grounded in the belief that deep healing begins through authentic relationship—with the therapist, with the self, and with one’s community. Whether clients are navigating coming out, gender transition, disordered eating, family rejection, cultural disconnection, or simply trying to better understand who they are, Yun provides a grounded, nonjudgmental space to explore and integrate all parts of the self.
As a transfeminine therapist and immigrant, Yun brings a rich, embodied understanding of intersectionality to her practice. She is especially attuned to the experiences of transgender, gender-expansive, LGBTQ+, polyamorous, kink-allied, and immigrant clients—and welcomes anyone seeking clarity, connection, or healing.
Yun holds an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver and a B.S. in Psychology from Oklahoma State University. Her integrative therapeutic style combines Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensate Focused Sex Therapy, and expressive arts practices. She draws on somatic awareness, nervous system attunement, and creative self-expression to support clients in building safety, insight, and emotional regulation.
Fluent in both English and Korean, Yun offers therapy in person in Boulder and online throughout Colorado. Her clients describe her as warm, intuitive, and deeply affirming. No matter where you are in your journey, she’s here to walk beside you—toward clarity, embodiment, and unapologetic self-truth.
